Chickpea Fritters with Tahini Dip

For the chickpea fritters

  • 2 dashes black pepper (ground)
  • 5 cups chickpeas (rinsed)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ cup nutritional yeast
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ¼ cup water
  • ⅓ cup wheat flour

For the tahini tzatziki

  • ½ cucumber (grated)
  • 2 tbsps fresh parsley (thinly chopped) (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ lemon (juiced)
  • 2 dashes sea salt
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • ¼ cup water


  1. Use a fork and mash the chickpeas.
  2. Add the rest of the fritter ingredients, except the frying oil and create a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Form the mixture into patties and fry them in olive oil until golden brown, each side for about 3 minutes.
  4. Combine the ingredients for the tahini dip in a suitable bowl and adjust taste.
  5. Serve the fritters with the tahini dip, enjoy!
